Corning Data Services uses Oracle Business Accelerators (OBAs) to compress the time to go live in JD Edwards implementation projects. OBAs are rapid implementation tools developed by Oracle to deliver significantly improved time-to-benefit at low risk. Based on leading industry- and geography-specific business best practices, OBAs are pre-configured EnterpriseOne software modules that are customized through the use of a wizard. The tool translates responses to a questionnaire into the appropriate customizations. Once complete, the result is a completely functional EnterpriseOne environment, configured and customized to meet the client's precise business requirements.

OBAs are superior to template solutions because most templates only consider best business practices, leaving all required customizations as additional work, expanding the time to go live, and the overall project cost. By utilizing OBAs, the starting point of the project is an already customized, fully-functional EnterpriseOne environment. From there, the client can either go live (as in the CDS Prepackaged Accelerate Implementations), or apply additional changes through the use of the CDS Accelerate Implementation Methodology.
